Liquid Concrete Repair in Iraq
Rock Products, Aug 1, 2007
U.S. military personnel in Iraq rapidly repair mortar damage to airport runways using Pavemend, a liquid concrete repair material developed by CERATECH, Baltimore. The material reportedly dries in minutes and is being used by the U.S military to expedite infrastructure repair on roads, bridges and airport runways. When a pothole or crater is created by an Improvised Explosive Device (IED), soldiers use Pavemend to quickly repair the damage, so convoys can complete their missions. OneU.S. marine contacted CERATECH by email, saying, “We go through hundreds of buckets a week. I can't tell you how much your products have made our lives easier out here; what used to take us days, now only take a few hours.”
