Better Roads editors have sorted through more than 500 new product introductions to identify 50 that have the greatest significance to highway and bridge professionals.
Roadway patching/repair material
Ceratech hit the road with its new Pavemend SLQ this year. The extremely rapid-hardening, high-early-strength material provides for patching and long-term repair of concrete and structural asphalt surfaces. The material offers extremely aggressive bonding characteristics along with one-hour compressive strengths exceeding 3,400 psi, allowing wheeled vehicles in just one hour and foot traffic in only 20 minutes. Pavemend SLQ has four to six minutes of working time, can be applied in ambient temperatures from 1 to 90 degrees F. and is self-priming, self-curing, extendable, and semi-leveling. Applications include the repair of roadways and bridges, airport runways and tarmacs, post-tension cable repairs, and more.
