Backed by the success of the Ceratech Inc.'s PAVEMEND family of rapid concrete repair products among the U.S. military, municipalities and multiple department of transportation agencies throughout the United States, the company has launched a next generation, "green" construction materials technology called D.O.T.Line, which spokesmen say is the most environmentally-friendly, high performance, rapid concrete repair product available. As the newest offering in Ceratech's portfolio of rapid concrete repair products, D.O.T.Line joins Ceratech's stable of high performance, extremely versatile, non-portland, non-epoxy construction repair materials.

D.O.T.Line comes in turn-key, pre-extended, 58-pound bags and is mixed and placed like traditional concrete. D.O.T.Line was developed by combining non-hazardous, green sustainable waste stream materials into a cementitious mineral structure. This new material technology allows CERATECH to offer what spokesmen say is a cost-effective, rapid repair concrete that's comprised of more than 90 percent recycled materials.

According to CERATECH CEO Jon Hyman, D.O.T.Line is specifically designed for horizontal to near horizontal applications, allowing for cost effective structural repair of roads, bridges or any other application where quick return to service is vital.

D.O.T.Line has been engineered to address many of the issues posed by traditional construction materials, including a wide applicable temperature range of 30 to 120 degrees Fahrenheit, two-hour return to service time, high-early strength development, ease of mixing and placement, shrinkage, priming, and curing. D.O.T.Line has 20 minutes of working time and will reach compressive strengths of more than 2,500 psi within two hours from addition of water. Further, D.O.T.Line finishes like traditional portland-based concrete and cleans up easily with just water.

"Ceratech's family of products are being used to successfully repair infrastructure damage in extreme environments, such as roadways in Iraq, where elimination of hiding places for IEDs is of critical importance," Hyman said. "Now, with the introduction of D.O.T.Line, we've been able to engineer an extremely "green" product that offers versatile and cost effective rapid concrete repair providing for a quick return to service of critical assets."
